Terms & Conditions

By scheduling an appointment or using any services offered by Comfy Pet the Mobile Vet, you (“Client”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Scope of Services

Comfy Pet the Mobile Vet provides mobile veterinary services including, but not limited to:

  • In-home palliative and end-of-life care

  • In-home euthanasia

  • Quality of life consultations

All services are performed by a licensed veterinarian in accordance with Florida law.

2. Appointment Booking & Payment

  • There will be no charges for email/text/call correspondence for up to 3-6 months after the initial consult

  • Follow-up appointments are required every 1-3 months to maintain proper hospice care, but will be extended for routine care

  • Under Florida State Law in regard to Telemedicine:

  • a) 14-days course of medications max (30 days for flea/tick medications)

  • b) No human-only or compounded medications can be prescribed

  • c) Refills cannot be renewed via Telemedicine alone - home visit required

  • d) Will require Zoom for video calling (WhatsApp can be used if needed)

  • Appointments in the extended range or after working hours will have additional charges (see Services for prices)

  • Feel free to call or email to book appointments

  • Appointments must be booked the same day or in advance and will require payment prior to the service being performed.

  • Full payment is due prior to arrival time or before the Telemedicine consult.

  • Accepted payment methods include credit card, debit card, Zelle, and cash upon arrival.

3. Cancellations & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made prior to the day of the appointment: No cancellation fee. Full refund of any prepaid amount.

  • Cancellations made the same day of the appointment (more than 2 hours in advance): Eligible for a 50% refund.

  • Cancellations made within 2 hours of the scheduled appointment time: No refund will be issued.

  • Refunds, when applicable, will be processed to the original form of payment within 7 business days.

4. Medical Outcomes Disclaimer

We are committed to providing skilled and heartfelt care. However, outcomes can vary based on each pet’s condition and response to sedation, medicine, and procedure.

5. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete health history and behavioral information.

  • Ensure safe access to the home and the pet during the visit.

  • Disclose any safety concerns, including pet aggression or bite history.

  • Be present or have a designated adult available during the appointment.

6. Limitation of Liability

Comfy Pet the Mobile Vet is not liable for:

  • Injury caused by the pet to individuals or property.

  • Delays due to uncontrollable circumstances such as traffic or weather.

  • Every appointment comes with a 1 hour grace period due to these extenuating circumstances

7. Emergency Services

This practice does not offer emergency or 24/7 critical care. But in certain situations, after-hours care can be provided. If I am unable to be reached and it's an emergency, clients should immediately contact the nearest emergency veterinary hospital. Please keep note of where the closest emergency room is in your proximity. Here is a list of local emergency rooms that may be in your area:

8. Privacy and Records

We maintain client and patient information in accordance with Florida Veterinary Medical Practice laws and privacy standards. We will not share personal information without consent unless legally required.

9. Compliance with Florida Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida. We operate in compliance with Florida consumer protection laws, including Florida Statutes Chapter 501.

10. Modifications

These Terms and Conditions may be updated at any time. Continued use of services implies acceptance of the latest version, which will be made available on our website.
